Welcome to the brave new world of children!! It is full of people dying in these video killng games or gun games, giving them a sense of euphoria and achievement. Even a weak kid with perhaps spectacles on his eyes can feel like champion killer. The Billy the Kid of yore. And when he comes up to such a situation in real life, he might just go home and pick up his dads gun (everyone has one these days in the US, what with our liberal gun laws) and come out guns blazing. Can you stop them? No, not in a nuclear family, which is all there are these days. You can cut their pocket money, but it won’t help since there are so many free shooting games available on the internet, not to mention their own network of gamers.

Then what should be done. Should we ban them? Like Prohibition, they will only become more popular. The only answer is for parents to find time to spend with them. Perhaps have a group of parents who take a day to spend time with all the neighborhood kids and involve them in physical and other interesting games to get them de-addicted from video games.
